We want to inform you about a security incident affecting part of the WHISE platform.
Last updated: 25 juni 2026
What happened. An unauthorised third party gained access to part of our system using the compromised credentials of a legitimate account, and was able to read certain contact data over a period in early June. The unauthorised access has since ceased. We have closed the underlying flaw and added further safeguards.
What data was involved? The data concerned is contact information — names, email addresses and phone numbers — and, for a portion of the records, email metadata (sender, recipient, subject line and technical delivery data such as IP addresses). The content of messages was not accessed. The access was read-only: no data was modified or deleted.
What we have done. We closed the flaw, reset the affected credentials, strengthened our monitoring, and engaged external security expertise. We are in contact with the competent data protection authorities and, as far as we are able to identify them, we are directly informing the customers whose data may be affected, so they can take the appropriate steps with their own contacts.
What you can do. As a precaution, please be alert to phishing. Be cautious with unexpected emails, text messages or calls — especially any that reference a property, an enquiry, or your personal details. Don’t click links or share information unless you are sure of the sender. WHISE will never ask you for a password by email or phone. Are you a WHISE customer and unsure whether your data is affected? Contact us at security@whise.eu and we will look into it with you.
Our ongoing commitment. We understand this is unsettling, and we are sorry for the concern it causes. We are reinforcing our detection and monitoring, accelerating planned security work, and continuing to treat the protection of your data as an ongoing priority.
Questions? You can reach us at security@whise.eu. We will update this page as our investigation continues.
