The WHISE story started in 2000… on a plane !
Jean Waucquez and Ben Huybrechts were on the way back from Japan where they worked several years and where they met. During their talks on the flight, the idea was born to set up a business when back in Belgium: a system of virtual visits to help Japanese expats to find housing or office space.
One thing led to another, and soon they expanded their virtual visits to real estate agencies. Listening to the needs of their clients, the two entrepreneurs realised that the real estate agencies were all looking for a solution that simply didn’t exist on the market yet: an online management tool that is easy to consult, to update – even when on the road – and synchronise in realtime on all work stations. The two associates decided to develop that solution.
The first version of WHISE saw the light in 2003. At that time, you could manage a list of properties and contacts on the online platform, publish ads on property portals and match properties with potential buyers or tenants based on their search criteria.
Ever since, we never stopped improving our platform based on what we hear from our clients.
